This old Ambulance toy is detailed like the real ones that drove up and down the streets of Chicago and New York which is where most of these old relics were picked up by a vendors from back East I met at one of the biggest flea markets in the country "First Monday Trade Days" in Canton, Texas. These toys were made to last and the color is the original paint that was applied mostly by hand. This Ambulance truck is held together by two machine screws making it one of the later models. The older metal toys were spot welded together from the inside. There were possibly fancier and better made ones with rubber tires made later. This one has metal wheels. I actually had this and a few others appraised at a free art show in Galveston,Texas and it was valued at $350, so because of that I'm pricing this one at $100. Still a Great piece of Americana!
